Since launching the re-designed MTurk Worker site in December, Workers have shared thoughtful, helpful, and constructive ideas with us to make the experience even better.

We’ve improved the website, drawing on this input from Workers. For instance, in January we improved the timer behavior and added helpful counters to “Your HIT Queue.” In February, we improved the HIT filters and made it easier to access information when previewing HITs. We continue to receive great feedback from Workers, and are hard at work on more improvements.

Today, we’re pleased to announce an additional improvement that Worker customers requested. Workers asked that we make it easier to find the full Requester Name and HIT title in the event that their screen or browser window wasn’t wide enough to view the entire detail.

We’ve added functionality to help Workers view “tooltips” when they hover their mouse cursor over these fields to see the entire text in the field. You can see an example of this in the screenshots below:

In the screenshot above, some Requester Names and HIT Titles are shortened (e.g., “Amazon Requester Inc — C…” to accommodate the narrower screen width. If you hover your mouse over any shortened strings, in a few seconds you should see a “tooltip” that displays the entire content of that string. For an example of this, see the next screenshot below:
In the screenshot above, we can see that the first Requester is “Amazon Requester Inc. — Customer Interests”
In the screenshot above, we can see that the first HIT Title is “[French language proficiency required] Questionnaire sur la relativité des produits aux intérêts (répondre par oui ou non)”
This also works on the HIT Preview page for the HIT Title
and works on the HIT Preview page for the Requester Name

We hope that this improvement helps Worker customers more quickly and easily find and work on HITs. As always, we welcome suggestions to make MTurk an even better service for Worker customers everywhere. Workers can provide feedback by simply clicking the “Feedback” link at the bottom of every page on the MTurk Worker site:
