We’re excited to unveil a brand new Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) Worker website we are working on, and we’d like your help to make it the best possible place for finding and completing tasks in MTurk. We’ve redesigned the browse and search experience to make it simpler, more efficient, and adaptive to the devices you use. Besides a refreshed look and feel, here are just some of the improvements so far:

  • We’ve created a fluid layout while optimizing your experience by prominently displaying key Project and Task (HIT) information. Doing this supports browsing and discovery of Tasks across mobile phones, tablets, or desktop computers.
  • Along with adjusting the layout of the page, we’ve reduced the page header and footer to show twice as much content on a typical screen.
  • To speed up finding Tasks to work on, only Projects matching your Qualifications are shown by default.
  • You can quickly sort Projects with one click on the column header.
  • New Accept & Work button lets you accept Tasks you like with one click.
  • Project creation time lets you grasp how fresh a Project at a glance.
  • Worker ID is always present at the top of page for easy access.

As we make improvements, we want to share the work in progress with you. When you use the new browse and search experience, you may see a mix of new and current pages, and you may be prompted to sign in again when transitioning from a new page to a current page. These transitions will go away as we complete the new site.

We’d like your feedback to help us refine and improve the new experience. Please use the new experience to discover more Tasks in MTurk as part of your regular workflow. Whenever you have feedback or suggestions, use the Feedback link on the site to let us know.

Check out the new site at https://worker.mturk.com. We look forward to hearing your feedback and building the new experience together.
