A recap of MTurk talks from AWS re:Invent 2018
AWS re:Invent is a learning conference hosted by Amazon Web Services for the global cloud computing community. The conference took place in Las Vegas from November 25th to December 1st. You can learn more about re:Invent here.
In a previous blog post, we announced several talks and workshops on using MTurk that provided information and best practices on using MTurk. Today, we’re pleased to announce that recordings from the Breakout Sessions are now available. Below we’ve shared these videos and have also included an interview members of our team hosted for AWS Launchpad.
In addition to the talks, MTurk was part of the launch of Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth in Andy Jassy’s keynote. This new service is integrated with MTurk and makes it possible to quickly gather highly accurate labels to use in machine learning training. The video below starts at the Ground Truth portion in the video. You can see our post on Amazon Sagemaker Ground Truth here.
Harness the Power of Crowdsourcing with Amazon Mechanical Turk
Jessica Locke from MTurk provided an introduction on MTurk and the many ways it can be used. She was joined by Jeffrey Fenchel at Zignal Labs and Keisha Phillips, Ph.D. at Pearson TalentLens who provided examples of how they use MTurk in their businesses.
Business Process Automation Using Crowdsourcing
Mark Chien from MTurk used his session to dive into the ways MTurk can be applied to business process automation. He explored how our customers insert MTurk Workers into their processes and was joined on stage by Andy Hilal from Indeed and David Falck from USFoods who shared how MTurk has enabled their businesses.
Human-in-the-Loop for Machine Learning
Jessica Locke and Dave Schultz from the MTurk team visited the AWS Launchpad stage at re:Invent to do a live Twitch interview describing the ways MTurk can be used in developing machine learning solutions.
We’d like to extend a huge thanks to our customers who joined us on stage to share their stories.
